Due Upon Receipt vs Net 30 - What are the best invoice payment terms? - Cashboard

Net D invoices let clients know when they're expected to pay an invoice. "Net D" refers to the number of days a client has once a project is completed to submit payment. The letter "D" is replaced by a number of days.

For example, an invoice that states "$1,000 net 15" means that you expect payment of $1,000 within 15 days of you completing the project.

Is a Costco Executive Membership Worth an Extra $55 a Year? -- The Motley Fool

Is a Costco Executive Membership Worth an Extra $55 a Year? -- The Motley Fool

The primary benefit of an executive membership is that, once a year, Costco will reimburse you for 2% of the amount you spent at the warehouse chain over the past 12 months. Thus, the issue boils down to whether or not the potential savings will more than offset the added $55.

In most cases, it will. I say that because all it takes is a total of $3,000 spent at Costco over the course of a year to translate into $60 worth of savings. On a monthly basis, that equates to $250 in purchases -- which, speaking from experience, is enough to cover about one and a half trips to Costco for a family of four. If you spend more than that, as you can see in the chart below, your savings can grow to a maximum of $750 per year.

Mac USB Ports Stopped Working? It’s Likely Easy to Fix

Mac USB Ports Stopped Working? It's Likely Easy to Fix

First and foremost, keep in mind that sometimes a USB device itself can fail, which may have nothing to do with the Mac itself. This is particularly true with cheap low quality USB devices and cables. The easiest way to determine if the USB device itself is the problem versus the Mac USB port, is to try and use at least two different USB devices and switch their ports. If multiple USB devices are not working on a particular port, or all ports, then it's obviously less likely to be a device issue, and more likely to be related to the Mac itself. And yes, this can apply to any and all Macs, whether a MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, MacBook, iMac, Mac Mini, or Mac Pro.

    什么样的公司值得加入? - 极客头条 - CSDN.NET

    什么样的公司值得加入? - 极客头条 - CSDN.NET

9 Adsense Alternatives that Make Money (Earnings Screenshots)

9 Adsense Alternatives that Make Money (Earnings Screenshots)

I love Media.net (read my review here).  They offer terrific ad customization resulting in high ad conversion and the RPM is decent.

Like Adsense, you can place up to 3 ad units on a page.

Overall, Media.net is a little more lenient about placement than Adsense… although they do have a terms of service you must be familiar with.  Like Adsense, Media.net (and all quality ad networks) will not tolerate garbage traffic and click fraud.

Since starting with Media.net, I've consistently increased my revenue with them.  Here's a recent earning screenshot (just to show you can actually earn decent revenue with their ad network.

Is Criteo worth Running at the Top of your Ad Stack? - Ad Network Review

Is Criteo worth Running at the Top of your Ad Stack? - Ad Network Review

Criteo will always tell you that, in order to perform their best, they need to be positioned at the top of your ad stack so they can get a first look at the impressions coming in.

They claim that having the first look will outperform the CPM's from other networks and, despite the fill rate not being high at first, they can optimize to grow that at the CPM level.

Let's be honest, every ad network would love to run at the top of your stack and get the highest quality inventory. If you haven't dealt with Criteo yet, rest assure they will always push for this pretty hard and be adamant about it.

Related Read: Casale Media Ad Network Review

So the question remains, is there any truth to this? You want to give your highest quality impressions to your best performing ad network and Criteo is new to you. Does it make sense to set them up this way? We've implemented them with a lot of our publishers and this is what we've concluded:

    1) Criteo *can* be good to run at the top of your ad stack but at a low frequency cap. Run it at a low CPM Standard line item type but watch it very closely.

    2) Other than your direct sales, this set up will allow Criteo to have first dibs on the impressions that come in before any other ad network – even if you have AdSense or Ad Exchange set up as dynamic allocation.

Move over, 401(k): IRA fees are what really hurt

Move over, 401(k): IRA fees are what really hurt

You've likely heard the complaint: Retirement plan fees are too high and are cutting into your long-term investment returns. Even if you haven't heard it directly from Jack Bogle—and didn't see the "Frontline" examination in which the Vanguard Group founder was featured lambasting the 401(k) industry for fee-gouging—you've probably been convinced somewhere along the way that 401(k) fees are excessive.

But what about individual retirement accounts (IRAs)? If you don't hear as much about high IRA fees, you should listen up.

Here's one big reason: There is more money in IRAs than in 401(k) plans in the U.S., and that means more opportunity for Americans to give away more of their long-term returns to fees if they aren't careful. At the end of 2012, $5.4 trillion was invested in IRAs, versus $5.1 trillion in defined contribution plans—the plan type that includes 401(k)s, according to the Investment Company Institute.

What to do with your old 401(k). Is an IRA rollover the way to go?

What to do with your old 401(k). Is an IRA rollover the way to go?

Should you roll over your 401(k) to an IRA?

That question may not be first and foremost during the hectic period when you leave one job and start another. But deciding what to do with your 401(k), and evaluating the IRA (individual retirement account) option, is a matter to which you will want to give some serious thought, since there is no single strategy that works for everyone.

When you leave your job, you will have several choices:
    1. You can cash in your 401(k). Consider this only if you are facing dire financial problems, since you will owe taxes on the entire amount. If you are under 59½, you will be charged a 10% penalty in addition to the taxes.
    2. You can leave the money in your old 401(k). If you have more than $5,000 in your 401(k), you can usually leave the money where it is. You will not be able to make new contributions, but the contributions you have already made, plus any matching contributions from your former employer, can remain as you have them.
    3. You can roll over the money to the 401(k) at your new company. You may have to wait until the next enrollment period or until you have been on the job a full year. And it could require extra paperwork. But don't let these factors stop you if this is the right move for you.
    4. You can roll over the 401(k) to an IRA. Many people choose this option because it offers the opportunity to pursue a wider array of investment options, allows for greater control than being limited to your current plan's rules, and it can be a way to consolidate some of your assets. Annuities have been a popular destination for rollovers since they often provide valuable guarantees not found in 401(k) plans.

When considering rolling over the proceeds of an employer-sponsored retirement plan to an IRA, keep in mind that you have the option of leaving the funds in your existing plan, if allowed, or rolling them into a new employer's plan, if one is available and rollovers are permitted. Each choice offers advantages and disadvantages, depending on the desired investment option and services, fees and expenses, withdrawal options, required minimum distributions, tax treatments, and your unique financial needs and retirement objectives.

    Several factors to consider:

What if I withdraw money from my IRA?

What if I withdraw money from my IRA?

Generally, early withdrawal from an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) prior to age 59½ is subject to being included in gross income plus a 10 percent additional tax penalty. There are exceptions to the 10 percent penalty, such as using IRA funds to pay your medical insurance premium after a job loss.

Early Withdrawal Penalties - Traditional and Roth IRAs - Tax Articles & Tax Tips - H&R Block(R)

Early Withdrawal Penalties - Traditional and Roth IRAs – Tax Articles & Tax Tips – H&R Block®

You've already paid tax on your Roth IRA contributions. So, you can withdraw your regular contributions at any time and at any age with no penalty or tax. After you withdraw an amount equal to all of your regular contributions, the earnings will be taxable. This is only true if the distribution isn't a qualified distribution. If the distribution is qualified, then your distribution won't be taxed.

All of your Roth IRAs are treated as one for withdrawal purposes. It doesn't matter how many Roth IRA accounts you have.

Converted amounts and early withdrawal penalty
You can convert a traditional IRA to a Roth IRA. To take a tax-free distribution, the money must stay in the Roth IRA for five years after the year you make the conversion.

If you withdraw contributions before the five-year period, you might have to pay a **fdEarly DistPenalty1** penalty. This is an early withdrawal penalty on the entire distribution. You usually pay the 10% penalty on the amount you converted. A separate five-year period applies to each conversion.

If you're at least age 59 1/2 when you make the withdrawal, you won't pay the 10% penalty. This applies no matter how long the money is in the account. You also won't pay a penalty if you:
