According to the Mayo Clinic's Dr. Jay Hoecker, organic baby food can decrease your infant's exposure to pesticides and other contaminants in foods. A study published in the journal "Environmental Health Perspectives" found that kids who ate conventional foods had several different pesticides in their systems, but these chemicals disappeared within a day after switching to organic food and juice. According to Allison Pennell writing at the parenting website Babble.com, ongoing exposure to pesticides can make babies and children more vulnerable to health problems, including a risk of neuro-development damage in particular. Since babies' brains and bodies are at a crucial stage of development, many believe that it is necessary to limit their exposure to potentially dangerous chemicals. Pennell also writes that the "Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry" claims that organic produce contains more nutrients and higher levels of vitamins.

When your baby can hold his head up on his own and can sit up unassisted, he is likely ready to start eating solid foods. Other indications that he's ready include watching food when it passes by him or trying to grab what you're eating. Consult with your baby's pediatrician before offering him any type of solid foods for the first time.

First Fruits

Start with fruits that are easily digestible. Applesauce is a nutritious source of vitamin C, which helps your baby absorb iron and supports a healthy immune system. Applesauce also contains fiber, which can help keep your baby from becoming constipated. Mashed bananas provide a healthy dose of potassium for normal muscle and heart functions, and pureed peaches are rich in fiber, vitamin C and vitamin A, a nutrient that promotes healthy eyesight and white blood cell formation. Pureed pears and apricots are additional fruits that your new eater can easily digest.

Considerations

Don't offer your baby highly acidic fruits, such as oranges, grapefruit and strawberries, until she is closer to a year old. Highly acidic foods can cause a painful diaper rash, notes MayoClinic.com. You should also avoid fruits with high pesticide levels. Pesticides have been found in commercially produced baby foods, according to the Environmental Working Group. Pears, peaches, apples and plums can have high levels of pesticides. This doesn't mean your baby can't eat these fruits, however. Serve organic varieties to reduce her exposure to dangerous chemicals. Don't serve your baby dried fruit, whole grapes or large pieces of cut-up fruit. These pose a choking hazard.

Feeding Your Baby

Serve your baby one new fruit at a time. Wait two or three days before introducing another type. Watch for a reaction after you feed your baby a new fruit for the first time. If she develops a rash, diarrhea or vomiting, don't offer any more of that fruit and contact her pediatrician. Serve your child using a bowl and a spoon to begin teaching healthy eating habits. Dish the pureed fruit into a bowl and discard any that your baby doesn't eat. Saving food you dipped your baby's spoon into can allow bacteria to grow in the stored portion.

Babies should receive breast milk and/or formula as their main source of "drink" until they are 12 months of age.
Introducing dairy products is often a source of confusion for parents. Many pediatricians will tell parents "no dairy until age 1 year" and neglect to go into further detail. This "no dairy until 12 months" rule is really targeted to whole cow's milk. You see whole cow milk does not contain enough nutrients, vitamins or minerals to adequately and properly sustain an infant's growth.

"Infants fed whole cow's milk receive inadequate amounts of Vitamin E, iron, essential fatty acids, and excessive amounts of protein, sodium, and potassium. These levels may be too high for the infant's system to handle." (AAP)

  三、补铁应适可而止:老年人若长期服用铁剂或食用高铁饮食,即便是缺铁的老年人,也易患上慢性铁负荷过重症。该病患者会出现恶心、呕吐、腹泻昏迷等急性铁中毒症状,严重者甚至会导致休克和死亡。另外,最新的研究结果表明,铁的大量蓄积还会诱发或加重老年痴呆症。因此,专家建议老年人:补铁要适可而止。补铁并不是补得越多越好。

3. 卵磷脂是建議在用餐時或餐後服用

由於乳化油脂的效果,一般卵磷脂是建議在用餐時或餐後服用,將這餐中的油脂乳化,如此效益才會明顯。


卵磷脂的其他注意如下

服用建議劑量 :
1. 動脈粥狀硬化 - 每日1500~3500mg,分三餐飯前服用。
2. 肝功能不全症 - 每日1600~4000mg,分三餐服用。
3. 改善記憶力 - 每日1000mg,分兩次服用。

註 : 請服用一個月後暫時停用,低劑量(每日100-300mg)可連續服用兩個月。

副作用 :
1. 過量服用會有噁心、嘔吐、暈眩等現象,嚴重時身體會有類似魚腥味的異味。
2. 極低的機率下會導致體重增加。

交互作用 :
與菸鹼酸(Niacin)製品併用,會干擾藥效反應。

注意事項 : 1. 每日儘量勿超過1000mg。
2. 孕婦與幼兒應在醫師指示下服用。

選購上 :
市面上的卵磷脂產品有低加工的粉末狀、濃縮的粉末膠囊、萃取出磷脂質的油狀軟膠囊等。

低加工的粉末狀 -
是加工最少的產品,很適合兒童、不胖的孕婦、生病虛弱者服用,可與食物拌和一起吃,也可在烘焙食物時加入。

濃縮的粉末膠囊 -
此種通常磷脂膽鹼含量較高,較適合高血脂、脂肪肝、肥胖者服用。

以上兩種粉末狀的卵磷脂,建議購買有清楚標示磷脂質(Phosphatides)的百分比含量,比較可靠。

濃縮的膠囊其磷脂質濃度約在90%-98%之間,磷脂膽鹼約在17%-24%之間。

而沒有標示的,所含磷脂質大約在50%,磷脂膽鹼約在3%-12%之間。

心窩或胸口有燒灼感、喉嚨有酸味往上衝,都有可能是胃酸過多的徵兆。需經醫師診斷確定有與胃酸過多相關的疾病(消化性潰瘍、慢性胃十二指腸炎、胃食道逆流、逆流性食道炎等),應該依照醫師指示按時服藥。☆胃酸過多注意事項 :
1. 少量多餐為宜,每餐吃七分飽即可。
2. 飯前飯後一小時內不可運動或洗熱水澡。
3. 兩餐之間如果肚子餓,可以吃蘇打餅乾當點心。
4. 飯後不可斜躺沙發,最好坐直或散步十分鐘。
5. 嚴禁含咖啡因食物(咖啡、紅茶、綠茶、奶茶、可樂)、汽水等碳酸飲料、及酸辣的刺激性食物。
6. 水果應避免檸檬等酸性水果以及會刺激胃酸分泌之木瓜、鳳梨(因為含木瓜酵素、鳳梨酵素)。禁吃酸梅、芒果青等零食。
7. 心情盡量放輕鬆,過度熬夜或壓力也會使胃酸分泌增加。

個人建議飲食控制注意之外,可以吃牛蒡、酵素 這類的保健食品,還蠻不錯的:
牛蒡:牛蒡所含的寡糖及膳食纖維,可健胃整腸,消脹氣。另外,可改善便秘,避免宿便導致毒素吸收,有助直腸癌的預防。
酵素:作用就像胃裏的消化液一般,可幫助消化,減輕胃的負擔。目前市面上來說,我會一般保健來說,優先建議考慮NOW健而婷的產品,他是美國保健食品專賣店第一品牌的廠商,美國有上千種商品,比較能全方位的提供我們需要的營養,很多產品成份很多,但劑量很多都不足,反而效果不佳,建議要選對產品。

在知識家很多人都在打保健食品的廣告,個人建議如果要吃保健食品的話,要挑大品牌比較有保障,像是NOW健而婷、桂格、亞培、白蘭氏、正官庄.....等這些大品牌會比較好一點,或是不敢亂來的國營企業例如台糖,省的吃了沒效,還減了健康。
